Sunday Night - Steak Night

Not usually your Sunday Roast, but seeing as our Favourite Steak restaurant had a deal on, and we had some vouchers ( Xmas pressie ) it was time to head off to miller and carter

Sunday night means the car park is free (always a bonus) then a short walk and we're greeted by I presume the Manager, who shows us to a table for 4 tucked nicely away.

It's by no means jumping, with maybe 10 or so tables taken out of 50, very soon our waitress for the evening (Elena) introduces herself and we order drinks whilst checking out the menu.

We ( Myself and my Wife) opt for the two course special, whilst my 16 year old Son goes for the three course, both very reasonable at £20.95 and £23.95 respectively.

After a short while the starters arrive - Nachos, Chicken Bites and Garlic Bread. very tasty.

Elena cleans the starters away, and after a short period of conversation ( or staring at your phone screen if you're a16 year old ) the mains arrive, not by any pre-planning we all had the same.

Sirloin (Medium) onion loaf , beef dripping sauce, fries, with the lettuce wedge ( blue cheese dressing for me, garlic and Cheese for the Wife ) and although the 16 year old orders the wedge , there's never any way he'd eat that).

I donate my tomato to the other half, in exchange for my son's onion loaf ( yet another no go, as he insists that onions are the devils work )

We're full by now...oh hang on - there's brownies on the dessert list, surprisingly these are not the work of the devil ! So Junior has them.

All in all a very pleasant experience, but not one you could do every week , but nice as a treat.

The bill ? just under £100 - lucky we had those vouchers.
