Seville - November Sunshine

November....up up and away, this time to Seville.

We arrived to a typical dull day with drizzle, much the same as old Blighty. Swiftly through passport control (the beauty of being in the  front of the Plane and travelling with hand luggage)

Turning left out of the terminal to catch the Bus into the centre. 30 - 40 minutes later we pull up in the Central Bus Station. Another 20 minute walk and were at our H10 Hotel (only a few wrong turns) If you've never used H10 hotels , I highly recommend them.

As is usual we've arrived at a decent time (mid afternoon) not to waste the first day of a short break, so time for a wander around the narrow streets , and try some local flavours. The city is remarkably compact with most of the areas easily accessible on foot. The Sun decides to make a welcome appearance !
Although not warm enough even to dip your toes in the rooftop pool.

After a few local beers it's time for bed, no trouble falling asleep in the massive comfy bed. Up not too early but time to fill up on the extensive buffet breakfast, which should set us up for the walking that is going to happen.

I wasn't expecting quite the spread, so a little rest to let it go down, before venturing out in the mid morning Spanish sun.

After what seems like I've walked a marathon, eaten numerous tapas and a few local beers it's time for a little rest before venturing out for something to eat . I spend some time trawling the internet , with its numerous review sites to find a tapas bar that gets good reviews - were in luck there is a good one just around the corner  https://alcazarandalusitapas.com/en
and we take a punt that we'll get a table as there's only two of us. From the front it looks like nothing special but most of the tables are taken, and not all with tourists which is always good if the locals like it. The bar is run by young ladies with dark make up...Don't let appearances fool you, the food is divine and all at a good price - with full tummies we wander the couple of hundred yards back to the hotel (only taking a few wrong turns as I insist I know where I'm going - thank goodness for Google maps!) Bed time.

New day - same as yesterday's breakfast, Then it's out to pound the streets again. The Sun is Glorious .

As the afternoon starts to draw to a close it's time to head back to the airport on the bus.
Seville has been great, I highly recommend it as short break.

thanks for reading .
